Limit state design introduction to Foundation Design Standard (FDS) for railway structures has been under way in Japan. For the sake of pile foundation design in terms of limit state design, lateral loading testes of small size pile foundations are conducted from elastic range to yield range and the tests results are utilized for specifying foundation behavior in large displacement. These tests simulate pseudo-dynamic behavior of pile foundation during earthquake. During these tests, loads, strains, and deformation are measured and bending moments and shear forces are calculated from the test results. The test results are analyzed by elasto-plastic principle both for pile and soil. Analyzed behavior of single pile and pile group are coincident with the test results. ƒL[ƒ[ƒhi‰pjF - ‹LŽ–‹æ•ªF - ‹æ•ª @@@ˆÏˆõ‰ï˜_•¶W
