In this paper, a time domain boundary element formulation is implemented for the analysis of soil structure interaction (SSI) during dynamic loading and seismic wave incidence. Effective use of impulse loading on a mass less rigid foundation is attempted for evaluating the SSI characteristics. Discussion is focused on the effects of soil layering on these. Attention is also paid to the scattered wave field due to kinematic interaction for certain assumed wave incidences. ƒL[ƒ[ƒhi‰pjF - ‹LŽ–‹æ•ªF - ‹æ•ª @@@ˆÏˆõ‰ï˜_•¶W
