The purpose of this study is to propose a simple method for deciding liquefaction-prone areas based on micro geography and the relative location of the site to the nearest river. We first estimated the acceleration at the liquefied areas in the past earthquakes and determined the lowest acceleration, " the critical acceleration, ¡" which caused liquefaction for each micro geography. Then we obtained and arranged the distance of the liquefied areas from the nearest river, L, and the difference of the level between the site and the river, H. Finally, we explained the proposed simple method to judge the possibility of liquefaction occurrence based on the ¡, L and H. ƒL[ƒ[ƒhi‰pjF - ‹LŽ–‹æ•ªF - ‹æ•ª @@@ˆÏˆõ‰ï˜_•¶W
