A series of centrifuge model tests was carried out to investigate the liquefaction of urban refuse ash ground. The model tests were carried out for two conditions of ground. One condition of model ground consisted of five loose layers and the other consisted of a compacted surface layer (4cm) and four loose layers. The model tests were carried out under 50G, and 50Hz sinusoidal waves were applied. The compacted surface layer had an ifluence on the process of dissipation of excess pore water pressure. There was the difference between the two conditions of ground on the vertical distributions of the cone index after shaking. ƒL[ƒ[ƒhi‰pjF - ‹LŽ–‹æ•ªF - ‹æ•ª @@@ˆÏˆõ‰ï˜_•¶W
