The present paper describes the evaluation method of seismic design spectra for building structures. In these spectra, the earthquake magnitude M and hypocentral distance X have been considered. Deterministic and probablistic evaluation method have been used. Basic design spectra B(T) have been proposed on the top of the hard stratum of Vs ¡ 400 m/s. New design spectra of Level 2 and Level 1 ground motion were obtained. The maximum spectral amplitude of B(T) is 100 cm/s. The results can bee applied for seismic design of building structures in Kanto district. ƒL[ƒ[ƒhi‰pjF - ‹LŽ–‹æ•ªF - ‹æ•ª @@@ˆÏˆõ‰ï˜_•¶W
