Travel time characteristics of Peak Ground Acceleration Phases(PGAP) of 11 earthquakes in Japan are studied by regression analysis of original and filtered wave forms in period of 1, 2 and 3s. The results are as followes; (1) PGAP of original propagate with apparant velocity of 3.3km/s. This value is similar to S-wave velocity of uppermost crust. (2) PGAP of 1 s propagate with almost the same velocity as original. (3) PGAP of 2 and 3 s have widely scattered travel time and propagate a little slower than PGAP of 1 s.
