抄録（英）：
Empirical attenuation relationships of peak ground velocities of long period strong motions (period range of 1 to 10 sec) in the focal depth of 0 to 40 km are evaluated by a regression analysis using many JMA 87 type accelerograms. The distance coefficient for the data in the distance rage of 5 to 800 km is around 1. It is found that the calculated magnitude coefficient is interpreted by the relationships between the corner frequency based on ■ model and the frequency of influential waves on the peak ground velocities.
