Nonlinear effect is one of the important characteristics of strong ground motion at soft ground site. A set of strong and weak motion records at Asigara site was known to have such nonlinear effects during strong motion. This paper compared the several results of predicted ground motion based upon a summation of small earthquake motion. The effects of non-linearlity is difficult to identify because the effects is within the scattering of the present prediction method. When the prediction is made with sufficient accuracy, the nonlinear effect is clearly shown and a practical method of predicting strong ground motion which includes the effects of ground non-linearlity.
