In July 12, 1993, the Hokkaido Nansei-Oki Earthquake was occured. Okushiri Island is located in the focal lesion of the earthquake. But strong-motion records couldn't be observed. Then we investigate the destroied reinforce concrete fence and fall down of gravestones by means of response analysis of ground surface. Most of small concrete column of the fence were broken and falled at Aonae lighthouse. The bearing test of a reinforce concrete column was performed and strength for destruction of R. C. fence was found. These values have been confermed by response analysis. For the response analysis of Aonae area we have used the strong-notion record obtained at Llolleo, Chile which agrees with Okushiri in seismological conditions. We have been able to reappear the fling phenomena of a gravestone at Aomae graveyard by computer annimations.
