An artistic excellence based on the kriging technique is proposed for constrained simulation of earthquake ground motions on a temporal and spatial stochastic Gaussian field. A constrained sample field is evaluated by the sum of the simple-kriging predictor and the residual. The optimum predictor is expressed as a linear combination of the ground motions at the recording points. The residual is represented by non-whitenoise process, and is decomposed into an AR model. The simulation technique is based on the conditional Gaussian theory of multivariate linear prediction, and ensures the unbiased reproduction of the least error covariance structure of the ground motion. ƒL[ƒ[ƒhi‰pjF - ‹LŽ–‹æ•ªF - ‹æ•ª @@@ˆÏˆõ‰ï˜_•¶W
