EXTRACTION OF GROUND CHARACTERISTICS AND APPLICABILITY TO THE SEISMIC MICROZONATION IN TERMS OF QUESTIONNAIRE SEISMIC INTENSITY
|
´˜^i‰pjF
This paper propose a simple method to estimate quantitatively the geotechnical data of surface layers based on the detailed seismic intensity map by questionnaire survey after earthquakes and dicusses the applicability of the method to the seismic microzonation. The questionnaire surveys have been performed for three moderate earthquakes. It is shown that the differences between local seismic intensities by Questionnaire surveys and averaged ones by empirical attenuation formula due to the magnitudes and hypocentral distances reflect at most the local and averaged geotechnical data at the ground surfaces. Based upon these results an empirical formula for estimating ground harzard at any point was derived.
