抄録（英）：
The 1993 Off-Kushiro earthquake caused severe damage to buildings and lifelines particularly in hilly areas, and especially around JMA Kushiro branch office. In the lowlands, the damage was not so severe, and in some areas, there even seemed to be no damage. In order to investigate these differences in damage distribution, microtremor measurements were carried out and surface layer ground models were established at several points within both hilly and lowland areas. The results of 1-dimensional analyses agreed well with the observed intensity distribution.
