抄録（英）：
The recent advancement of geomophological study on active fault system provides useful tool to identify pin-point mapping of the active faults. If, the surface environments is preserved, the most faults can be located within an accuracy of a few meters, which is vital information to design any engineered structures for earthquake preparedness. Active fault mapping in 1 : 10,000 scale, now become technically feasible at present, and could be used not only in engineering but also regional disaster preparedness, planning.
