After the 1992 Erzincan Earthquake, Turkey, the damage survey of R/C buildings was carried out in two residential areas of Erzincan City. The total of 424 investigated buildings were five-stories high or less with a basement and consisted of rigid frames with rectangular sectional columns and hollow, brick infills.' The results of damage survey showed sole interesting properties; concentration of the severe damage into medium-story buildings, localization of collapsed and heavy damaged buildings, affection of the arrangement of rectangular columns in a floor plan to the lateral resistance of the building, and others. ƒL[ƒ[ƒhi‰pjF - ‹LŽ–‹æ•ªF - ‹æ•ª @@@ˆÏˆõ‰ï˜_•¶W
