抄録（英）：
The damaged characteristic of wooden structures shaked by the 1993 Notohanto-Oki Earthquake is compared with the presumed earthquake-resistance of an existing wooden structure obtained by a static collapse experiment The aspects of damaged structures are classified by considering how failures occurred in structural elements. Most of structures damaged by ground-motion without ground failure showed failures of wall materials and also about half of them showed some inclination of skeltons or failures of beam-column joints. The growing process of damages in structural elements may be similar in both cases of the quake shaking and the static failure test
