The Noto-Hanto-Oki earthquake took place in the evening of 7 February 1993, an intense cold holiday night the same as the Kushiro-Oki Quake. The damages were concentrated on Suzu city having about 24,600 population. The JMA, seismic intensity in Suzu area was supposed to be V or more. 29 persons were injured, only one wooden house fully- and four half-collapsed. The objective of this paper is to examine why the wooden houses were thus little damaged, considering their construction of frame, wall and foundation compared with the case of the Kushiro Quake. It is also intended to clarify, from the viewpoint of repairs and soil failure, "are the damages of wooden houses realy slight?". キーワード(英): - 記事区分 - 区分 委員会論文集
