The computer-actuator on-line test system has been recognized as a feasible method to simulate the earthquake response. However, the accurate test results for the high stiffness structures cannot be obtained in the ordinary on-line test system under the limited controlling accuracy of loading system. In order to improve the response accuracy, the new control technique which can apply precisely the calculated displacement to the specimen is developed in this paper ; that is, "load controlled mode" and "displacement controlled mode" that drive the electro-hydraulic actuators are used properly according to the yielding degree of structure. Through the on-line test of one-story one-bay braced steel frames with high stiffness, the accurate test results were obtained and this technique was verified to be useful to the earthquake simulation of very high stiffness structures. ƒL[ƒ[ƒhi‰pjF - ‹LŽ–‹æ•ªF - ‹æ•ª @@@ˆÏˆõ‰ï˜_•¶W
