In this paper, a simple model for evaluating dynamic behavior of rockfill dam subjected to earthquake shaking is exploited based on observed failure phenomena. The procedure is implemented by combining dynamic response analysis with corresponding failure mechanism. The critical post-earthquake state of dam and instability zone are examined and possible maximum sliding displacements of the rockfills apt to failure are estimated. Numerical comparative studies are performed for an actual rockfill dam structure and significant insights are gained for the dam design. ƒL[ƒ[ƒhi‰pjF - ‹LŽ–‹æ•ªF - ‹æ•ª @@@ˆÏˆõ‰ï˜_•¶W
