In this paper, our attention is focussed on the relation of the spectral values of surface motions between the neighboring sites. Earthquake records obtained in Sendai were used in the analyses. The records come from 11 observation sites with typical soil conditions found in Japanese urban area. The response spectra of the surface motions at the sites were compared, taking the locations of epicenters and travelling paths into account. We concluded that in spite of site specific uncertainty, the spectral ratio between the sites would be preserved to a certain extent for different earthquakes the epicenters of which are not near the sites and closely located. However, an additional investigation might be necessary for the near-source cases due to the lack of data in this study. ƒL[ƒ[ƒhi‰pjF - ‹LŽ–‹æ•ªF - ‹æ•ª @@@ˆÏˆõ‰ï˜_•¶W
