Two sets of Japanese strong motion data were prepared; the one is a corrected data set and the other filtered data set with the high-cut frequency of 1.4 Hz. By using these data sets, two sets of attenuation curves for predicting both the peak ground acceleration (PGA) and velocity (PGV) were derived to be used for the structures on the ground and underground, respectively. These attenuation curves were combined with a three-dimensional source model of the Kanto area and the seismic hazard maps useful for design analyses of the above two types of structures were presented in terms of contour maps of the expected maximum PGA and PGV for representative exposure times. ƒL[ƒ[ƒhi‰pjF - ‹LŽ–‹æ•ªF - ‹æ•ª @@@ˆÏˆõ‰ï˜_•¶W
