As a part of Coordinated Technical Project on the Development of Methods for Repair and Retrofit of Earthquake Damaged Structures, three types of guidelines for reinforced concrete buildings have been developed in Japan for identification of earthquake damage and for counterplans after earthquake. After the September 19-20, 1985 Mexico Earthquakes, the guidelines were partially modified and were applied to twenty buildings in- Mexico City.
