The objectives of the study are to clarify the behavior of medical equipments with casters and occupants during moderate earthquakes by means of full-scale shaking table tests, and to evaluate earthquake resistance of medical equipments with casters against toppling and sliding by means of shaking table tests of neonatal incubator scale models. The model tests include some tests without casters, those with partially or fully locked casters, those with unlocked casters and those with varied gravity centers. Based on the test results, the study examines seismic hazard of medical equipment toppling and sliding in a hypothetical hospital at Sendai City during 1978 Miyagiken-Oki Earthquake. ƒL[ƒ[ƒhi‰pjF - ‹LŽ–‹æ•ªF - ‹æ•ª @@@ˆÏˆõ‰ï˜_•¶W
