This paper presents the shaking table tests being conducted on the plane multi-story frame structures, which consist of two types of tests. One is the test on the combined wall-frame systems, with aim to obtain the minimum values of shear-flexural strength ratio for wall sections as well as wall-frame strength ratios required to develop uniform lateral deflection distribution along with the overall height of frame during earthquake motions. The other deals with frame systems, with aim to verify the validity of the limit design method (LDM) which is considered to replace the currently used elastic analysis method (EAM). The frame designed according to LDM was in the way that the strength of beams was arranged uniformly along the height with total value of strength being the same as in the frame designed by EAM. ƒL[ƒ[ƒhi‰pjF - ‹LŽ–‹æ•ªF - ‹æ•ª @@@ˆÏˆõ‰ï˜_•¶W
