A computer system has been developed for data processing of time-series records, specially strong-motion accelerograms and response time-history quantities measured during dynamic tests. The flexibility of the system allows the user to invoke several routines to perform time and frequency-domain operations to the record, such as those commonly used in strong-motion data processing. A simplified procedure for strong-motion data processing is formulated using this system. Improvements on the performance of the Ormsby filter by using a Kaiser window are discussed.
