We have researched about the present seismicity and the earthquake damages of the past in Nepal, most of which are not yet known to other countries. The research on the basis of recent seismic records and geological structure of Nepal shows that the seismicity is more active inbetween the thrusts running through east-west of this country. Next, we made damage distribution maps and other analysis of the Bajhang earthquake of 1980 and 1966 as well. From these, some characteristics of the damaging earthquake in the far-western region of Nepal were known. And, studying the large earthquake of 1954 and collecting historical earthquakes, in middle and eastern Nepal, it could be forecasted that larger earthquakes might occur in a longer interval, than in the far-western region. ƒL[ƒ[ƒhi‰pjF - ‹LŽ–‹æ•ªF - ‹æ•ª @@@ˆÏˆõ‰ï˜_•¶W
