The dynamic properties of an actual nine storey SRC building are investigated by applying system identification techniques to the earthquake records measured in the building. The structure is modelled as a time-in-variant, linear system in the response to relatively small ground shaking and a time-variant, linear system in the response to strong ground shaking. Furthermore, two orthogonal, horizontal basement acceleration are used as system input in order to explain the 2-dimensional horizontal behaviour of the building as torsional ones. By the analyses of the response records measured during five earthquakes in 1970 and 1978, information was obtained concerning the dynamic properties during the low level excitation and the time-varying characteristics during the strong excitation. ƒL[ƒ[ƒhi‰pjF - ‹LŽ–‹æ•ªF - ‹æ•ª @@@ˆÏˆõ‰ï˜_•¶W
