The dynamic behaviour of undisturbed cohesive soils were investigated using the resonant-cyclic triaxial testing apparatus by which both resonant column test and cyclic triaxial test can be performed on the same specimen. Plasticity index was found to affect the shear modulus at small strain, the shear modulus reduction curve and the secondary time effect in shear modulus. The laboratory test results are compared with the in-situ seismic survey results. The significant differences generally found may be attributed mainly to the effect of duration of secondary consolidation and the difference of stress condition. The importance of correctly assessing the influence of time effect when estimating the in-situ modulus reduction curve from the laboratory reduction curve is also pointed out. ƒL[ƒ[ƒhi‰pjF - ‹LŽ–‹æ•ªF - ‹æ•ª @@@ˆÏˆõ‰ï˜_•¶W
