There are several types of ground motions of earthquakes observed in Tokyo, and each type of ground motion has the proper characteristics. In this paper are especially investigated some characteristics of the so-called Just-under-seated type' of earthquake ground motions mentioned above. From the results of our investigation, it has been ascertained that the duration of. the main portion of earthquake ground motion is not dependent upon Magnitude, but nearly constant, in the range of Magnitude from 4 to 7. Also, in this range of Magnitude, a linear relation could be found between the Magnitude and the Intensity of the ground motion. ƒL[ƒ[ƒhi‰pjF - ‹LŽ–‹æ•ªF - ‹æ•ª @@@ˆÏˆõ‰ï˜_•¶W
