A methodology of the seismic risk analysis is developed and an example analysis performed for a simplified version of the water transmission system in the City of Los Angeles. The example analysis has been carried through to the point where a sample of physically damaged network systems are simulated by means of a Monte Carlo technique. A topological analysis is performed to transform the transmission system into an SSP system associated with the serviceability defined. Each simulated damaged system is then uniquely represented by a correspondingly disrupted SSP system which can be used to evaluate more directly the impaired system serviceability. ƒL[ƒ[ƒhi‰pjF - ‹LŽ–‹æ•ªF - ‹æ•ª @@@ˆÏˆõ‰ï˜_•¶W
