抄録（英）：
The longitudinal and the transverse wave velocity in the rockfill dams recently constructed by modern techniques were investigated in detail for the earthquake behaviors of rockfill dams. From the investigations, it was found that the velocities in the darns greatly increase with burden pressure and the relationship between the velocity and burden pressure could be generally formlated by a simple expression. And from the earthquake study by using the dynamic structure model from the formulae, it was proved that the model was appropriate for the behaviors of rockfill dams during earthquakes.
