抄録（英）：
One of the critical problems in earthquake disaster prevention is to find a way of reducing human casualties. Injury is the most urgent problem today under a condition that an occurrence of death is controllable to a certain extent in recent Japan. We indicated the injuries to residents sustained in the 1993 Kushiro Earthquake from informations obtained through questionnaire to the victims and public organizations and compared above the informations with those of the 9 earthquakes from the Niigata(1964) to the 1987 Chibaken Toho-oki Earthquake in Japan.
