ELASTO-PLASTIC EARTHQUAKE RESPONSE OF PRESTRESSED CONCRETE CABLE-STAYED BRIDGES WITH SELF AND PARTIAL ANCHORAGES
|
´˜^i‰pjF
In order to investigate the earthquake response of PC cable-stayed bridges with self and partial anchorages, both elastic and elasto-plastic analysises for cable-stayed bridges with 200m center span subjected to a seismic acceleration of 500cm/s¡ are carried out. It is assumed that the bridge-pier, bridge-tower and main girder have the same member properties including skeleton-hysteresis. Damping coefficients of 0.05 and 0.02 were used in the elastic and elasto-plastic analyses, respectively. In the analysis, the effect of the following items on the stress, crack propagation and member yield are investigated.1)elastic versus elasto-plastic response,2)variation in the stiffness of the spring representing the soil surrounding the pier foundation,3)variation in the seismic wave.
