Steel structures or members are subjected to complex cyclic stresses beyond the elastic limit under severe earthquakes.Therefore,a clear understanding of the global and local inelastic behavior of steel structures under such loading conditions is inevitable to perform inelastic analysis and life prediction.This study is concerned with the observations on the experimental behavior of SS400 structural steel subjected to biaxial torsion-compression with proportional and nonproportional cyclic loading histories.Some important observations on the cyclic characteristics within the yield plateau,such as the strain hardening behavior and the effect of nonproportional loading are described and discussed. キーワード（英）： Structural Steel,Yield Plateau,Biaxial Cyclic,Cyclic Behavior,Nonproportional loading 記事区分： - 区分 　　　委員会論文集
