本研究は､1観測点(1成分でより)で得られた微小地震の波形解析により､浅い構造の不均質性や地震険度を評価するものである｡この､地震波形のコーダ部(後続相)を利用した､決定論的方法である､Spudichと飯田による波形散乱逆解析法は､(A)観測点周囲の状態を2次元・3次元的に評価できる､(B)正確な理論的背景をもつ､などボーリング探査や微動測定にない長所をもっている｡方法を､北パームスプリング地震の余震群を記録した観測点に適用し､その有効性を示した｡

The heterogeneity in shallow structure and the seismic risk are estimated on the basis of microearthquake seismograms observed (as a single component)at a single station.This deterministic approach of using coda portions (later phases)of seismograms (Waveform scatterer inversion by Spudich and Iida)has different advantages from downhall or microtremor measurements;(A)It can make a spatial evaluation on structural heterogeneity around the station and (B)it has a theoretical background.We have demonstrated effectiveness of the method by applying it to the stations that recorded aftershock seismograms of the North Palm Springs earthquake.
