抄録（英）：
The epicenter of the Ansei Edo Earthquake (M=6.9) which occurred on 11th November of 1855 was situated in the vicinity of Edo (present-day Tokyo) and much destruction was caused in the urban area of Edo and the nearby towns in Kanto District. In this paper, I have investigated the damages caused by Ansei Edo Earthquake on the basis of various old documents of the time in which the heavy damage is described and have determined the distribution of the damage and the seismic intensity (M.S.K Scale) in Kanto District. Also, I have computed the intensity of this earthquake theoretically at many sites situated in the Kanto District, by using several fault models and taking the geological condition in the Kanto District into account.
